History
Perception was originally founded in 1987 as a design and architectural practice but, over time, we identified a niche for tailored services. Our business has evolved within a rapidly changing market and has now become one of the foremost design support service organisations in the UK.
The key driver in this market is cost; we ensure that budgets are met and that the finished result exceeds our customers' expectations while maintaining Perception's standards of excellence.
Our approach
The measure of any organisation is not how it performs when things are going well, but when things are stretched and everybody is under pressure. It is at those times that Perception excels and we are able to demonstrate our long-held view: your problem is our problem, and we will never leave our customers with a bad flavour of their time with us.
Our reputation is our future, so Perception offers the client "one throat to choke". We will succeed in any challenge and endeavour to always find a satisfactory resolution. Success is assured through effective communication and understanding of the processes and relationships needed to deliver your objectives.
Gill Cole: Founder and Design Director
Gill has achieved the rare distinction within her field of having a clear eye for detail and flair, married to a contemporary eye for design and cost efficiency.
Gill studied design and art in her early years, attaining a raft of accreditations and qualifications. Her CV now includes working for such diverse clients as Ragley Hall and Walton Hall stately homes, where she managed and implemented multi-million pound transformations. At the other end of the scale, Gill's expertise was called upon to help design a number of sets for Carlton Television for what have become household name programmes and events.
Still passionate about design, Gill relishes a new challenge and is fulfilled by the plaudits heaped upon her work.

Pete also established his own company Omnicom and is frequently called upon to give consultative advice to businesses within the retail and leisure sectors.
